Guys this changing weather can cause a lot of skin related issues which at times bring stress to our lives.
One of the negative impacts of this changing weather is dry skin!π«
Dry skin is an uncomfortable condition marked by scaling, itching, and cracking. It can occur for a variety of reasons like changing environment , lifestyle changes, usage of wrong cosmetics, dehydration etc etc. You might have naturally dry skin( i have one) But even if your skin tends to be oily, you can develop dry skin from time to time due to above mentioned reasons.
So let’s discuss a few remedies out there for getting rid of dry skinπ
1- Lifestyle changes π
A few lifestyle changes can help you cure the dry skin.
1- Drink plenty of waterπ¦
2- Use a moisturising soap for bathing
3- Keep your bathing time to less than 10 minutes if you have superdry skin
4-Avoid using hot water for bathing or shower
5-Pat wet skin rather than rubbing with towel
2- Home remedies for dry skinπ
If you have dry skin then u need to use natural ingredients to cure the cracky dry skin.
Some of the natural remedies are:
1- Coconut oil: This oil works best to cure the dry skin without any side effects. Coconut oil is safe and effective ingredient. Coconut oil when mixed with camphor leaves miraculously smooth skin.
2- Milk: Drinking milk provides a plenty of good results. Milk not only helps getting rid of the dry skin but also is a source of calcium for our body. Milk fat is a very good ingredient for the skin. Hence milk could provide relief from dry skin.
3- Honey:
Various studies have found honey to be:
- moisturizing
- healing
- anti-inflammatory
These are all qualities that suggest honey is an ideal at home treatment to relieve dry skin. It is completely natural and can be applied directly to the skin.
4- Alovera:
Aloevera is another ingredient which cures dry skin.A person with dry skin on their hands or feet can apply aloe vera gel and cover the affected area with a cloth.This exercise need to be done before one goes to bed and leave the gel throughout the night and wake up with smooth moisturised skin.
5- Petroleum jelly: It is another good source of moisturisation for dry skin. Petroleum jelly works on moisturising the dry skin caused due to aging.
3- Moisturiser:
Moisturiser helps keep the skin protected by providing a seal over the skin and prevents the water of the skin to escape. Apply moisturizer several times a day and after bathing. Thicker moisturizers work best.
4- Cover:
Using a cover for your body will help providing a protection from the changing weather impacts.
Covering face with a cotton and soft cloth will protect the skin from the extreme temperatures which can cause dry and irritated skin.Make sure to wear loose-fitting, cotton clothing that draws sweat away from the skin when youβre exposed to high temperatures or skin-irritating conditions.
5- Use a humidifier
Keeping a humidifier at your home can help minimize the dryness caused by home heating systems. Though gas and electric heat strip moisture from the air, a humidifier set to 60 percent is enough to off to this effect.
